Recorded live from an intimate show in their jam space, dubbed the Habitat, this album captures the raw, free, and improvisational spirit that brings to life the band's famous “hab shows.”
animal is a prog-jam band from Toronto, blending funk, blues, rock, and folk elements into danceable live journeys.
The band began performing in 2024, cramming attendees into their private studio, the Habitat. Today the band has headlined and sold out iconic Toronto rooms, ventured out on multi-provincial tours, and performed on festival stages. Their live shows often feature elaborate stage productions, costumes, theatrics, liquid lightshows, and more.
animal’s debut single “I Believe” (2024) was produced by Chris Boerner (Hiss Golden Messenger, credits on 3 Grammy-nominated projects); their live album Live From The Habitat followed in 2025, and a studio EP is now in the works.
